There are several reasons I went to all the trouble of renewing the content in the 2003 page ArchaeologyFilms. First, I was suffering from burnout--but as I went forward I became interested in the topic, wondering if there might be some interesting patterns in the data. This page will eventually include a methodology section (so you can rinse and repeat, some discussion of issues, and some minor statistics about how many movies about archaeology were made in the last century and when, and what the most popular terms in titles are.
